New Contact for Waste Pro Issues

Brookwood apparently isn’t the only community that has problems with items being picked up by Waste Pro. Will Williams, Jacksonville’s Chief of Solid Waste, suggested using his direct email if service isn’t performed when promised — [email protected].

services-residentialWilliams was one of several speakers at a community forum hosted by Brookwood’s District 11 City Council representative, Danny Becton, at the Southeast Regional Library yesterday. He especially noted the problems that exist¬†for Friday pickups that get missed. He promised to contact Steve Crawford, division manager for Waste Pro, whether or not the email gets sent on a weekend.

Crawford also spoke at the forum and made no excuses for missed pickups. He said that many logistical problems were recently resolved. “All of our trucks have GPS as of this week,” Crawford said. Better mapping came from Waste Pro’s corporate office and more veteran drivers are now assigned to some of the newer areas, he added.
