Brookwood looks to 2020

A number of items that your HOA started this year will be underway in the new year!

New Accent Colors Although most homeowners won’t be painting outside during the winter, there are 31 new accent colors (for front doors and shutters) available when they’re ready to do so. Sherwin-Williams is working on putting all the colors in an HOA section of its website. In the meantime, you can find different colors using the instructions on our website’s home page.

Speed Limit An effort to reduce the speed limit to 20mph is also proceeding with the city recently being presented with the required number of signatures on a petition. Homeowners will receive an update at the HOA Board Meeting scheduled for January 8.

New Board Member Karen Higgins will be joining the board to replace a vacancy left when Terry Jones was unable to serve for another term. Karen and her husband, Bruce, have attended board meetings since the HOA was first established. Terry will continue helping the HOA as webmaster of www.brookwoodhoa.info.

Volunteer Openings Opportunities to get more involved with your HOA include positions on the Covenant Enforcement Committee and the Architectural Review Board. Time commitments are less than an hour each month to attend meetings if required. Training for both groups will be given early in the new year. Please follow the links above for more details. Contact Aubrie Synan, property manager, at (904) 998-5365 Ext. 231, with your interest.

Remember, time spent helping your community through involvement in the HOA helps maintain and increase long-term property value.
